Fort Bend County Warrant Records Fort Bend County Warrant Records

This page explains what this private reference site can help with and where to direct questions about official Fort Bend County records. The Sheriff's Warrant Unit and the court that issued a case handle those questions. Contact the office that maintains the record, because a county portal, city court and Sheriff inquiry serve different purposes.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site and cannot confirm, recall or clear a warrant, accept bond, arrange a surrender or give legal advice. Official status comes from the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Warrant Unit or the issuing court.

Need Official Warrant Information?

Use the following routes to direct common Fort Bend County warrant and case-record questions:

  • Your own Sheriff warrant status: appear in person at the Sheriff's Warrant Unit with photo identification. Staff do not provide warrant status through ordinary public phone calls or email.
  • Attorney or bonding-company status request: the unit accepts faxed requests from attorneys and bonding companies when submitted on official letterhead; call the coordinator for current routing instructions.
  • A missed-court-date or citation case: contact the court that set the case. The Fort Bend District Clerk handles district felony dockets, the County Clerk maintains county-level misdemeanor records and appeals, and JP or municipal courts keep their own matters.
  • Resolving an active case: ask the issuing court about its current appearance, payment, bond or recall procedure. A private website cannot arrange those steps.

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office: 1840 Richmond Parkway, Richmond, TX 77469; main office 281-341-4704. The Warrant Unit coordinator is 281-341-4771; that number is not a public warrant-status line. The Sheriff's public-information request form lists 1410 Richmond Parkway, so verify the destination with the office before mailing a records request or traveling to an unfamiliar counter.

For public records, use the Sheriff's Texas Public Information Act request process. An executed arrest warrant and its affidavit may be available under Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 15.26, subject to applicable court rules and confidentiality limits. Juvenile warrant records are restricted by Texas Family Code Section 58.010.
